The Opera Game
Paul Morphy vs Duke Karl of Brunswick & Count Isouard, Paris, 1858
Played in a box at the Paris opera during a performance. Morphy develops fast, sacrifices material and finishes with a queen sacrifice and rook mate. It is the textbook lesson in rapid development.

Donald Byrne vs Bobby Fischer, New York, 1956
Thirteen-year-old Bobby Fischer sacrifices his queen with 17...Be6!! and wins with a "windmill" of checks. The name came from Hans Kmoch in Chess Review.
